Trying Anthem VIP Demo out at the last minute. Was it enjoyable?

Got to try out the Anthem VIP Demo at the last minute thanks to BloodWolf28 and KassilV!

I enjoyed the gameplay that I got to play however looking back The Anthem VIP weekend was a train wreck of technical issues, from connection errors and constant lag to infinite loading screens and game-breaking bugs. That said EA and BioWare had managed to straighten stuff out, well at least partially and by Sunday was able to finally sink a number of consecutive hours into the demo.

Please before we go any further, a reminder that this little entry is based solely on the VIP Demo if that wasn’t already clear enough in the title of the article. I haven’t had a chance to play the fully released version of the game as of yet as I like to give some games time for improvements that being said I am aware of the latest announcements that they made, so I shall be delaying the playthrough a bit longer.

Dawn of Worlds was really fun, really enjoyed being a deity and making my penguins and I do admit things got a little crazy in the end. I’m glad we didn’t leave the world a shattered, post-apocalyptic wasteland or did we? Muhahahahhahaha

My Life with Master – Professor Caravelle’s Memory Projector

Minions arise to do the bidding of their evil Master! In this game of My Life with Master, they go forth harvesting items with precious memories attached to them so that Professor Caravelle can extract those memories to keep in his collection – and perhaps restore his own.

This marked my first time ever doing a Tabletop RPG, and also the first time doing it live on Twitch let alone any other streaming platform, so I was a bit nervous (You may notice it in the VOD,) but I really did enjoy this One-Shot of My Life with Master and do believe there is a way to make this into a longer game with you set the mechanics higher.

The game is an independently released role-playing game composed by Paul Czege as well as published by Fifty Percent Meme Press (It was first released at the 2003 Gen Con gaming convention.) The game concerns the servants or minions of a wicked Master or Mistress and the game has won a number of awards and I have to say I agree with many of the reviewers that it is well-written and fun to play.

As of 2018, the game is only available as a PDF download from the publisher which is a bummer, so I am keeping my eyes peeled for a physical copy.

Note: If/When I come across a system or setting I am not very fond of please bear with me and do not think I did not have fun roleplaying with my fellow players, I am just offering my personal opinion on said a system of rules or mechanics.

Getting back into Sea of Thieves

I tried getting back into Sea of Thieves back on April 19, 2018, on the Xbox One. I’ll probably try it again later on in 2019 on the PC. I wasn’t really too crazy how little there was to do in the game.
You could do whatever you want and go wherever you want, but it meant very little when there was hardly anything to do.

I have briefly tried it again on the PC and had fun with Captain RedWolf and her crew on the S.S Merciless but sadly my schedule was a bit hectic so our sailing together happen once or perhaps twice (I can’t remember!)

That being said I do want to give it another go here in 2020 since I’ve read that there have been some updates and it’s like a brand new game.
